Love to shop? Satwa is the right place for you. The district is known for its lively streets, its cool graffiti art and for being one of Dubai’s most important commercial districts.
In this itinerary you can find a few cool spots to do some shopping without breaking the bank as well as some more activities to enjoy during your Dubai trip.
24 Hours Dubai Itinerary with Shopping & Activities
8am – Arrival and Drink at The Daily:
Enjoy a relaxing breakfast and sample the Rove Hotels signature Energiser drink containing green and refreshing smoothie packed with energy-boosting green apple, celery, spinach, parsley, kale and orange from The Daily.
Timings: 6.30am to 11.30pm.
9am – Ripe Market:
Head to the Ripe Market at Zabeel Park or Barsha Pond Park to shop for handcrafted gifts, camel milk soap and culinary treats, before making your way to the Dubai Fountain to get up close and personal on the new Dubai Fountain boardwalk (AED20).

Head over to the Dubai Frame, which is located within the park, for a spectacular view overlooking new and the old Dubai.

11am – Rove around tours:
Speak with a friendly Rovester to get the lowdown on the latest Rove Around Tour which features cultural experts and explorers. 2pm – It’s movie time:
Fans of the silver screen can head to The Scene Club for a screening of an independent movie, or visit The Jewel Teller’s workshop and design studio at Al Serkal for a gold hammering class to create your own jewellery.
The Scene Club screenings will resume from March 2018.
The Jewel Teller’s workshop is open from Sunday-Thursday 9am-6pm.
4pm – Karama Market:
Looking for a unique shopping experience? Visit the Karama Market – a great place to haggle for trinkets and souvenirs. Here you can pick up Moroccan lamps, Arabian coffee pots, pashminas priced from AED 50 to AED 5,000 and local carvings.
Timings: 10am-11pm.
5pm – Satwa:
Rove around the surrounding Satwa roundabout for a treasure hunt exploration and collect pictures of the eclectic artefacts and wall art from the buzzing neighbourhood which inspired the displays at the hotel’s Cabinet of Curiosity. Deep rooted in the trading Dubai tradition, the area is best known for its textile shops and excellent tailors.
7pm – Night Skyline tour:
Finish your day with a Dubai by Night Skyline tour taking in the city landmarks.
